We are investigating a disruption in service in the Down Town Cedar Falls area. Technicians are en route.
Splicing completed by 23:30. Double checking monitoring systems this morning, all services are back to normal. Closing incident.
Many customers are back in service, fiber splicing is still ongoing.
Conduit has been repaired, new fiber pulled and getting prepared for splicing. Splicing may take 1.5 to 2 hours.
Communications Techs are on scene. Construction has damaged a 96-count fiber underground. Excavation around the area will be required, equipment is being dispatched. No estimated time to repair, expect it to take several hours.
Across both cabinets this impacts about 310 customers.
