Cabinet 22 Hit-and-Run Damage Wednesday 8th September 2021 13:00:18
A vehicle has severely damaged Cabinet 22. The impact is still being assessed, but would effect customers south of Rainbow and east of Waterloo Road.
Services for all customers restored.
about 3 dozen customers are still without service. We are rebooting a card in the OLT ( Optical Line Terminal ). This will take additional customers offline that were not impacted previously.
All customers served by Cabinet 20 have services restored. Some customers in Cabinet 22 have service, but the work is not complete so other Cabinet 22 customers still have ONTs offline.
The number of impacted customers is 220 in Cabinet 20, and 231 in Cabinet 22.
The area of the impact is roughly from Victory east to Neola, and from Rainbow south to University.
Cabinet was seriously damaged beyond repair and will need to be replaced. All customers served from this location will experience ongoing outages as the cabinet is rebuilt. ETR: 5 hours
