The fiber vendor for the DSM OTN Ring has confirmed a fiber outage between Ames and Hubbard. Technicians have been dispatched, no ETR.
There will be maintenance 06OCT2021 from 00:00 to 06:00 to repair the temporary fix put in place.
All fiber damage has been repaired, waiting for confirmation from customers services are restored.
Additional damage was found, repairs are ongoing.
Splicing has been completed, services are not restored. Additional troubleshooting is ongoing. No ETR.
New ETR is pushed out to 06:30.
Fiber at one end has been spliced, working on other end. ETR is 06:00.
The Finer break has been found, crews have begun work. 3000 feet of new fiber will need to be pulled, excavation also required. No ETR has been set.
