Fiber cut near between Grinnell and Iowa City Monday 9th December 2019 09:00:00
There is a fiber cut between Grinnell and Iowa City that is impacting one of our paths to Des Moines. This will result in higher latency for some connections, but otherwise should have no effect.
The fiber has been fixed and is back in service.
Damage located in Coralville. Skid loader damaged hand hole
Splicers are on site and excavator ETA is 30mins
Update: Fiber damage located approx 18km from Kirkwood near Hwy 380. OSP is driving to a splice case near that location to shoot fibers and narrow location further - ETA 20mins
