Zimbra Webmail "Missing blob" error Thursday 8th September 2022 15:30:00


Zimbra Webmail is currently experiencing an issue where emails fail to load, instead displaying a "missing blob" message. Sending emails via the Webmail also fails, generating a network service error message. We have opened a ticket with our email provider to investigate.

Our email provider's technical team has advised that the issue has been mitigated.

From our provider: Our cloud provider has completed initial mitigation steps on the Zimbra mail platforms storage system and continues to work to resolve the underlying issue. At this time mail services are active.

The cloud provider has identified the issue with storage on the Zimbra mail platform and begun deploying measures to mitigate impact to end users.

From our provider: We are investigating an issue with Zimbra mail platform where the system is unable to retrieve message blobs. The issue has been escalated and engineers are looking into the object storage layer.
