Timeshift / VOD Outage Tuesday 4th April 2023 15:26:50

Storage issues have caused a large number of nDVR and VOD assets to become unavailable or have degraded playback. We are working on restoring this functionality, but do not have an ETR. This mainly affects assets older than 4 days, however some newer ones will be affected as well. Live TV should not be impacted.

All assets have been restored to their original places. If any timeshift assets still fail to play back, they were likely lost as part of the outages that happened previously.

Older assets are still being moved, we're about 80% done.

While the storage is still copying data back from the temporary locations we used, normal functionality should be restored. We are still closely monitoring the system while assets are moved back into place.

Restoring assets did not start as planned. We are continuing to allow the storage cluster to rebuild, and are watching the system closely to prevent additional issues. Some recordings from over the weekend may not be playable.

Recovery is still moving along nicely. Older assets have not been moved back over yet.

We are still working to restore full functionality, but things are slowly converging back to a functional state. Some nDVR assets may not have been recorded between 5pm and 2am last night. We will be restoring older nDVR / VOD assets as soon as possible.
