Fiber cut on north fiber path Tuesday 26th August 2025 10:30:00

We are seeing loss of signal on our north fiber path to Minneapolis. We are investigating the issue.

Splicing has completed and crews are hands-off. Services appear to be back to normal.

We currently have no new updates to share. Crews are on site, and we will provide additional information as soon as it becomes available. Field crews are actively working at the impacted location. Cause of damage: Third-party work crew struck the fiber while installing a new culvert on the roadway. No ETR

Repair crews are onsite and actively working to restore service. There is no estimated time to restore (ETR) available yet as assessments and repairs are in progress.

Field splicing crews are expected to arrive onsite momentarily. Once onsite, they will begin their assessment and we will share additional details from the initial inspection.

A buried fiber cut has been located affecting a 72-count cable. An SSP splicing crew has been engaged and is en-route with an estimated arrival of approximately three hours. Preparations for repair and post-repair testing are underway so work can begin immediately upon arrival.

We have tested the circuit and found a cut. We are notifying the owner of the fiber so they can perform repairs. No ETR at this time.

Technicians are on the way to one of our sites to perform testing to pin down the location of the fault.
