Fiber Cut on DSM Ring Wednesday 20th January 2021 07:47:44
There is a fiber cut on the DSM Ring between Hiawatha and Iowa City. The fiber vendor is aware of the issue and has already dispatched Technicians. Traffic has shifted to the other side of the ring, customers should not be impacted.
Circuits remain stable, fiber vendor reports Technicians are hands off. Marking incident as fixed.
Technicians are still working on the repair. The circuit has been stable. No known completion time for all work, this will remain in "watching" status until the fiber vendor confirms all Technicians are hands off.
The fiber pair CFU uses has been restored, however on-site Technicians are not yet hands off the 288 bundle. CFU equipment is reporting service restored, this incident will remain in "watching" status until the fiber vendor verifies Technicians are hands off. TT210120-010
The fiber issue has been identified and repair is underway. ETR ( Estimated Time of Repair ) is 13:00.
